Honolulu is strikingly beautiful beaches, but is also an incredibly urban area. It's definitely not what you would immediately think of when you think of Hawaii. With a population of around 1,000,000 on an island things are very tight and a lot of high rises. These are photos from our hotel rooftop, the 27th floor, to give you an idea. Today Sasha had her first day of school, I will leave that for her to share if she wants. She was super brave to head into a totally unknown high school. She is always our Sasha Fierce. I thought these skateboard locks were really cool. Max and Lucia got registered for school and Max will start tomorrow. He already has a field trip on Thursday, sweet! Lucia starts on Thursday, as the middle school has tomorrow off. They are all excited and nervous. There's an amazing open air mall (one of the largest) we explored a bit and are trying to acquire a bit more summer gear. Also, more rooftop swimming! ...
